Are US drug laws absurd? You bet.

30 07 2008

In the United States we have had two Presidents and 3 Vice Presidents that were well known to have taken illegal drugs before being SWORN IN as President. We have had countless Senators, Congressmen and Congresswomen, and untold numbers of police that were all former dopers.

So how is it that all these dopers can sleep at night knowing they busted millinos of people for using drugs illegally?

Lets ask Arnold how he can sleep at night knowing he has tens of thousands of pot smokers in California prisons when he was filmed many times smoking pot. Absurd laws – you bet they are.

My Dutch friend mentioned that for his 13 birthday, they had a keg for theadults inside and a keg for the kids outside. In parts of Europe drinking isn’t a big deal – and kids grow up thinking its not a big deal, and its not abused. Kids aways want to try what is taboo at the time – and part of growing up is making good decisions. How many kids are getting high sniffing or huffing whatever is popular at the time? And how many kids don’t? You probably don’t know if your kid does this stuff, so wouldn’t you rather know and watch them and teach them right and wrong? Government shouldn’t be in the business of regulating pot or alcohol. at some point – ie, dangerous chemicals, i understand. But people don’t die from smoking pot, they die from lung cancer. If anything alcohol is much more dangerous – kids die from alcohol poisoning all the time. (then again, if their parents taught them to drink responsibly, maybe they wouldnt).
